But Bader evidently discovered something during last October’s power surge that goes beyond merely using the same model bat his buddy and former University of Florida teammate Pete Alonso has relied on (Bader got the idea from a bat Alonso gifted him years ago that was displayed at his home).įast forward to now, and Bader already has a pair of three-RBI games, one that included Wednesday’s homer in the Yankees’ 11-3 rout of the A’s. No one envisioned Bader becoming the engine of the Yankees’ offense, however. The manager was scraping together whatever he could find for the makeshift lineups, and writing in Bader nudged the Yankees a little closer to feeling whole again. “Guys feed off him a little bit, too.”īoone was hoping to just get a real centerfielder back rather than wearing out newbie Isiah Kiner-Falefa, a calculated risk at the largely unfamiliar position, as the Yankees also waited on Aaron Judge (activated on Tuesday). “Just the energy and professionalism he brings to the table every day,” manager Aaron Boone said. 734 OPS and hit five home runs in 86 games a year ago. As a point of reference, Bader has a career. 429 (12-for-28) with two triples and the 11 RBIs were his most ever for a six-game stretch. I have the Comandante and while I think it's great, I'm considering the Ode v2 to get more clarity with light roasts.Entering Thursday night’s game with the Rays at the Stadium, Bader’s three homers since rejoining the club gave him eight in his past 17 games (counting the postseason). (similar to what I've tasted in a pourover from a good coffee shop) I also will be happy using electric again, especially when grinding a lot of coffee for cold brew. (maybe use the Comandante for medium roast and Ode for light) I'd probably get the SSP burrs and would have them installed by Fellow. I'll never realign or calibrate the grinder. Lastly- would I buy the SSP unimodel burrs if not doing espresso? (maybe a year) Am I a good candidate for the grinder? For those who have both the Comandante and the Ode v2 with SSP, are you satisfied, considering taste only? (I'd pay someone to do that after using it for a long time. If I search for instance V60 I can come up with so many tried & tested variables for getting the right cup of coffee.įor the Ninja Hot/ Cold Brew though I get a few basic reviews but nothing of significance. I guess it's understandable since it isn't anything earth shattering.Įither way I've been mixing and dabbling, measuring and switching but I feel like my coffee is just weak/ watery. So I have a 12oz metal mug and I brew either Over Ice or Cold Brew because I don't like hot coffee. These two settings do not fully fill the mug if I select XL so I use the XL Travel Mug setting. For Cold Brew this fills the mug up to a notch just below the rim that signifies where the plastic lid would seal if used. Over Ice fills about half and I then add ice to the same line to balance it out.īoth come out tasting near identical with very little difference. I bought a scale and hand grinder, I weigh everything in grams. So I weighed the mug empty, then ran a few dry runs to get an idea of the water level of a filled mug. Subtracted the difference to see what the general liquid amount was. Then I used this to the ratio people suggest for Coffee grams to Water. So if I'm doing that part right, I came to around 19 grams of coffee. Now I've been toying on clicks for my hand grinder, I was around 15 then went up to maybe 17.
